Monday MADness: Favourite Horror Subgenres

Hello Freaks & Geeks!

Well, it's the second full week of October, and my Horrorfest is in full swing. Thus far, I've watched many horror films from various subgenres and was wondering what is your favourite subgenre of horror?

Some examples:

Body Horror

Ghost Stories

Haunted Houses

Folk Tales

Found Footage

Science Fiction

Erotic Horror

Perhaps you prefer your fright flicks laced with Comedy.

Or, maybe, you wish to explore the complexities of Psychological Horror.

Of course, for the traditionalists, there's always the standard Slasher.

And let's not forget the classic Monster Movie.

Next week, we'll discuss monsters in more depth. How bow dah?

Until then . . .

Enjoy & Have Fun!

Monday MADness: Back Where We Belong

Hello, Freaks & Geeks!

Welcome back to Monday MADness.

I haven't forgotten y'all. Last week was one of those crazy weeks. Between filming on the rise since reopening and the impending authorization of an industry-wide strike, not to mention working late nights, I've barely had a moment to sigh.

Anyhoo, speaking of the motion picture industry, what films have you viewed more times than any other movie?

Personally, I've lost track of how many times I've seen the following flicks.

Speaking of Halloween, Happy October to everyone!

Along with your frequently viewed films, post your favourite fright flicks and macabre music.

Monday MADness: Life's Disappointments

Hello, Freaks & Geeks!

I was reminiscing the other day about the much-anticipated follow-up to American McGee's Alice, a video game featuring a dark vision of OZ, similar to the imaginative world created in McGee's Wonderland, since devastated and ravaged by evil forces.

Just as Alice was summoned to save Wonderland and return it to its original glory, Dorothy would be expected to do the same for OZ. Unfortunately, however, the project was canceled, and McGee never found the funding - or a publisher - to release the game.

Word has it, though, that a somewhat different version of the hyped franchise - OZombie - is on the horizon, including a TV series, along with a video game.

Sure, life has greater disappointments than the cancelation of a video game release, but it's life's little disappointments that we can usually look back on without feelings of pain, sorrow or deep regret.

So, what disappointments - large or small - have you experienced on your journey through Life?

Chat about life, in general, and post music, memes and gifs about life's disappointments and rewards.

Sitcoms about College

 I've always wondered.....

Why shows based on college life weren't a big hit with audiences than ones for high school?

Remember the show Undeclared?

It only ran for one season on Fox, but it was compared to Freaks and Geeks which did better ratings wise and many say is a better show.

What about Saved by the Bell the college years?

Compared to the original, this did horrible and was boring. I tried to watch this and couldn't finish the only season they had.

Boy Meets World and Sabrina the Teenage Witch ran continuously from jr. High to high school then to college. They didn't have a spin off show like saved by the bell did. Boy meets world did well as i continued to watch but sabrina fell off. I only watched one episode and that was it for me.

What are your thoughts?  Do you have a fave show based on college? Any show not the list? Explain below

Monday MADness: Goodbye!

There are many ways to express the parting of ways, whether it be brought about by an impending journey, an ending relationship, a return home, a temporary separation or a permanent relocation.

There's the casual dismissal.

The tender embrace.

The dramatic departure.

The unceremonious snub.

The civilian salute.

The mocking cast off.

The formal farewell.

Or a simple tip of the hat.

Oftentimes, separation can become quite emotional.

Some goodbyes are forever.

Goodbyes are rarely easy. Then, again . . .

For some, separation is more difficult than for others.

Personally, I prefer an exit as grand as my entrance.

Post your favourite gifs, memes and videos expressing GOODBYE in all its variations.
